REBOUND — A Life Skills and Prevention Program

Target Group:

Multiplicators from the school and out-of-school sectors

Description:

REBOUND means: learning from experiences — your own and those of others. REBOUND is a program for young people (14–26 years) that strengthens their life skills and serves as addiction prevention. It promotes both their individual strengths and those of their social reference groups. The program is implemented in schools by specially trained professionals. The advertised further training provides all necessary knowledge and skills for the successful implementation of the program in schools. REBOUND aims to motivate, inform, get young people talking to each other and sharpen risk perception. It’s about a resource-oriented and solution-oriented pedagogy. The preventive part of REBOUND encourages young people to find out what responsible handling of alcohol and other drugs means. What is special about REBOUND is an attitude: it’s about risk competence in a meaningful, challenging and supportive social environment. It’s about accompanying young people in their development into decision-making and risk-conscious individuals. Objectives: — Conveying prevention and risk minimization messages — Getting to know the interactive REBOUND program — Developing or reflecting on your own attitude towards alcohol and other drugs IMPORTANT NOTE: REBOUND — the life skills and prevention program has been evaluated in Germany and classified as preventively effective”.
