MOVE Companies — Conducting Difficult Conversations with Employees
Target group:
- HR managers
- Executives
- Employees and multipliers in advisory roles in organizations and companies (e.g. designated workers, safety and health delegates)
Description:
Conversations with conspicuous employees are often conducted too late — because of insecurity, overwhelm, or fear of escalation. This can cause problematic developments — such as in connection with substance use — to become entrenched. The training concept “MOVE — MOtivating Short InterVEntion in the Company” licensed by the Ginko Foundation enables participants to conduct difficult conversations early, respectfully, and purposefully.
You will learn practical conversation techniques that help to start a conversation at the first signs — e.g., in the context of stage or return conversations. The goal is to motivate employees to reflect and change their behavior, rather than making decisions over their heads. The training promotes action safety in dealing with sensitive topics such as substance use or prolonged absence and thus strengthens the care competence in companies.
Objectives:
- Addressing conspicuous behavior early and competently
- Building conversation leadership skills in challenging situations
- Motivating behavior change in affected employees
- Strengthening the duty of care and leadership culture in the company
- Contribution to sustainable health promotion and employee retention
