Description:
Anxiety disorders are considered the most common mental disorders and are among the most common diseases. They can have a major impact on functionality and quality of life. The connection between anxiety disorders and addiction disorders is well documented. Early detection and treatment of anxiety disorders can help prevent addiction disorders. The presentation provides an overview of the biological function of fear, symptoms and the most common forms of anxiety disorders, recognized explanatory models for the development and maintenance of anxiety disorders, relationships between anxiety disorders and addictive behavior, as well as the most effective treatment methods.
Objectives:
Participants should be able to recognize signs of anxiety disorders at an early stage and be informed about effective treatments in order to contribute to the prevention of addictive behavior.
